Chesterfield quartet Trash have announced the release of Migraines, the lead single from their forthcoming EP, which comes out later this summer. Arriving just in time for festival season, the indie/dream pop band deliver a summer anthem with hazy, almost synth like, guitars and an ear-wormy heavily reverbed melody. Comparisons have been made with the likes of The Magic Gang and The Night Café, sadly as I haven’t heard either of them I can’t reference that
The band is Daniel Longmore (vocals, guitar), Tom Barton (bass), Evan Martin (guitar) and Bradley Weston (drums). I am advised that they are developing a fierce live reputation, with dates supporting Clean Cut Kid, RATBOY and Splashh, over the last twelve months. Appearances at Tramlines and Y Not Festival are confirmed for next month, with a raft of associated gigs to follow.
Produced by Alex Greaves (Nave Studios), Migraines released 13th June via Clue Records (Allusondrugs, NARCS, Forever Cult). It is taken from their self-titled EP which will be available on 10” vinyl and all digital platforms.
